For one of our Luisa via Roma Style Lab shoots with Italian photographer Tommaso Fontanella, Kelly and I pulled Giuseppe’s summery platform sandal. The heel is very tall, so fortunately we had our lovely model sit for this photo. But the truth is that while these platforms are skyscrapers, no atmospherescrapers, they buckle you in so well that the height stands no match against your expert strutting. We thought that the pistachio green complemented her floral outfit so well, like she was digging her feet into newly mowed grass. And light suede was the best way to add some texture to the look (shiny leather would’ve been too much with the flirty flowers and bright colors). Giuseppe even covered the inner sole with green fabric! This high-heeled sandal is perfect for spring – the casual cork and retro bow will go with any style you crave, be it jeans (great for lengthening those gams), a cute skirt, or in this case, some crisp printed MSGM pants (on Luisa via Roma for $415). A fresh outfit to symbolize a new romance blossoming for our story’s couple, who spot each other here for the first time.
