Looking at Isabel Marant Spring 2013 runway photos, hot off the press, has made me crave everything Marant! Hemlines will be rising, along with my pulse, thanks to her Navajo-inspired belts and fierce way with once-classic embroidery and prints. While she indulges in beachy paisleys and Hawaiian florals for Spring, right now it’s all about the ranch. Is a “bohemian cowboy” an oxymoron?! Not if it’s from the Parisian designer du jour. How ironic that it took the French to perfect Western cowboy-flavored shoes.
I live in Texas and have yet to find cowboy boots as good as these (though diehard cowboys will tell you otherwise). I take mine with a little bit of street, and Isabel knows how to walk the line. I’m in it for the chic style, not for any sort of cowboy functionality, since no, I do not ride horses. Whether you go all-out with the Milwauke ($1,495), a move I highly recommend, or ease in with the pointy Stanley pump
($1,040), these deliberately placed studs look anything but deliberate. That, in essence, is the genius of Isabel Marant. Available on Net-A-Porter

I really like the new booties for fall, like the ones Reese Witherspoon is wearing.
