It’s an established fact that the hidden-wedge sneaker is the unofficial shoe of Summer 2012 – and with Isabel Marant’s selling out in seconds flat on Net-a-Porter and Luisa via Roma, they’re on their way to take over Fall, too. I fell for the comfort and low price of Ash’s pastel pairs, but I have to say, there’s a new winner when it comes to kicking it: none other than Monika Chiang.
Her Artemys sneaker, in the versatile combo of black and gray, has been seen on both Karolina Kurkova (twice, no less) and Coco Rocha in recent weeks. Karolina’s leather leggings-and-cropped olive trench look knocked it out of the park, for a nice balance of chic and sporty. With nearly 3” of a hidden wedge, they keep your legs looking long and lean and your feet feeling cushy. Hey, even supermodels need a break from the stiletto – even if they don’t need the height.
