Here’s one I didn’t really see coming: Mena Suvari just caught my eye in a major way! More specifically, her killer pumps made me do a double take. The actress looked fabulous at a celebration at the Beverly Hills Hotel on June 16th in a Maria Lucia Hohan dress (designed by Taylor Jacobson, cast-off from The Rachel Zoe Project). And while many can’t stop talking about the dress’ mysterious sheer paneling, I’m all about her Gio Diev shoes.
The Odessa pump flawlessly blends the old-world – the big, blousy, black ribbon speaks of the Belle Epoque – and futuristic-modern – a super-angular, pointy-sharp shape set in metallic gold with a silver heel. The result is a to-die-for cocktail shoe that’s comfortable, to boot (thanks to a hidden platform and cuff-strap to hold you in place). I love Mena’s neutral choice, but I’m kind of obsessing over the flirty pink-and-blue combo! Which bow strikes your fancy?
