A change of hue can alter the entire context of a shoe. I appreciated the shininess of this platform when I saw it in tan, but in white, it looks more like a tissue dispenser than anything else. A disco-fabulous tissue box, but a box of Kleenex nonetheless!

All of that mosaic-effect burnished silver is pretty, no doubt, but at 6.5″, this platform is way too high to look normal at even the wildest after-hours party – even for a height-loving girl like me. Especially in shiny mirrored metal! This is a case of too much of a good thing. But too much is rarely enough when you’re on stage. These would be perfect for a decadent pop star who knows how to rock loads of fringe and a bodysuit. If you’re not someone like Cher (and really, who is?), these outlandishly chunky stilts are guaranteed to look wildly out of place.
