I know I’m a blogger, but even words cannot describe how ugly I think these shoes are. I should just take a photo of my cringing face and post it. But nobody needs to see that – these shoes are enough punishment on the eyes – so I’ll give it my best shot.
Peek-a-toe fringe is not my idea of chic, nor sexy. If anything, fringe is meant for theatrical movement and volume, not partial coverage. Think about it: slide into these and your toes, no matter how perfectly polished, will peek out of this ghastly curtain like something out of a horror movie. Not to mention how much the loose ends are guaranteed to tickle the tops of your feet! And then there’s the squat, stumpy shape of this ultra-wide ankle boot. If it’s the appearance of thick ankles you crave in a vanilla suede shoe, look no further: these are the boots to do the job.

This reminds me of that character from Futurama Dr. John Zoidberg ( had to google it to find the characters actual name), or a mop or when your car is getting out of the carwash. Hideous.
I think that Maison Martin Margiela is going for ugly, I have never seen a good pair, ever!
