I do love innovative color combinations. One of my all-time favorites? A pop of yellow on an all-black ensemble! Jessica Alba elected the pitch-perfect pairing when she attended Condé Nast Traveler’s Hot List Party in Los Angeles on April 12th. Worn with an effortlessly ruffled Giambattista Valli dress, a peppy manicure, and a loosely pulled-back ponytail, Jessica has managed to win me over yet again with her choice of accessory: Roger Vivier’s leather-and-suede Prismick sandal. The finely arranged geometric lines, juxtaposed against a lacquered heel, were inspired by contemporary architecture – and they look as modern (yet classic) as can be. Monochrome black makes for a smart showcase; these sandals deserve to shine.
Steal the Look: You can pick up Vivier’s sandals for yourself on Luisa via Roma for $1,196. Steal Jessica’s look right down to the fingertip with either Chloé’s silk-blend jacquard dress (on Net-a-Porter
for $1,965) or Issa’s cutout ribbed knit dress (on Net-a-Porter
for $650). Be sure to top it off with By Terry’s Terrybly Nail Lacquer in Electric Vermillion (at Barneys New York for $30).
