Christian Louboutin Djaldos Spechio Colorblock Wedge: Angling Towards Fabulous
By Shoe Snob Kelly
April 2, 2012

We’ve talked about colorblocking from every angle possible for seasons and seasons, to the point where most bold color pairings almost feels mundane. But not when it comes to complimentary colors, and not when it comes to Christian Louboutin.

For summer, the trend isn’t tired. On the contrary, it’s revived. When the heat is on, it makes perfect sense to embrace brights, all mixed up – think shaken, not stirred. Besides, these hot sandals, with their beaming metallic straps and angular, architectural wedge, are orgasmic no matter what trend is on top. I would gladly take either color. While the scalding synthesis of salsa-picante red and rosy pink is extra-spicy, the cool-as-ice combo of silver and turquoise makes me imagine warm, romantic nights at an exotic locale. And you know once you have the right shoe, you’re halfway there. At Bergdorf Goodman for $925.

Pair with: Bring some structure to the heat wave with Diane von Furstenberg’s metallic tube skirt in a stretch-cotton blend. Toss on an airy top and you’re good to go. On Net-a-Porter for $275.
