Nicholas Kirkwood for Pollini: Magic Man
By Shoe Snob Tina
March 9, 2012

I don’t live in Europe, so I had no idea Nicholas Kirkwood was designing Pollini shoes! And I am so glad I found out. This is a match made in Shoe Snob heaven. Kirkwood took over as Creative Director of the Italian brand last year (replacing Jonathan Saunders) and lucky for us, he is brought his trademark sense of flirtatious charm with him.

This line is relatively reasonably priced (nothing over $900 – hey, I said relative!) with plenty of Kirkwood magic to spare. The sexy and shapely high-heels are instantly recognizable as his own – note the angular front platform – but it’s the super-special flatform sandals with contrasting woven leather that I adore. I tried them on and they are not only comfortable, they give me height.

Now is the time to join me and hop on the Pollini train if you haven’t already. Slick red patent-leather stilettos, metallic gold strappy heels (a touch of weave makes them stand out), and hypnotic mesh-lace and suede booties round out my spring musts from the brand.

Open-Toe Sandal
On Farfetch for $641.
