Not that there’s anything fantastically wrong with these everyday platforms, but if you’re going to do autumnal tweed on a summer shoe, I say make sure it’s legendary. These See by Chloé sandals are cute enough – the jolt of yellow on the sole, racing-stripe style, adds a nice little pop of color – but there’s something about the brown tweed straps that make them way more frump than fabulous.

They might be a satisfactory (and with a mild pitch, comfortable) choice for the office, but you’re going to have to do your part to embolden the rest of your look, or you’ll give off “funky librarian” vibes.
