Somebody is up on the Pre-Fall ’12 trends! Not that the always-on-trend Kate Bosworth disappoints, but she looked particularly fresh in Los Angeles yesterday. Attending the private screening of her new film for JewelMint, the fabulously affordable jewel site she designs with stylist Cher Coulter, she shows us how to wear the nude shoe right.
A sharply pointed pump that harks back to eighties excess, like this Jimmy Choo, demands elements of structure and softness. The ruffle trimming Kate’s Altuzarra dress lightens the look, while her light makeup, beachy hair, and JewelMint baubles top it off with ease. And the metallic box bag, also from her line? Its square shape is just the thing for a spiky heel. White, gold, and nude: a pristine combination that shows you can keep it neutral and still have fun.
A mellower variation of the pump might be more wearable for some. Jimmy Choo’s platform version comes in soft suede that will nicely compliment bare legs.
