And I’m not talking about subtle sensuality here. Stiletto-on-platform heels used to be reserved solely for girls who writhe around poles on stages. But over the last few years, we have seen the curvy silhouette become as prevalent as pairs of ballet flats.
Toying with concoctions of colorful metallic leathers, tactile skins, and animal prints, Diego is cementing the idea that bodacious shoes don’t just belong on the feet of girls who are sexy by profession. I tried on a pair in Firenze, while meeting the designer at his Spring-Summer 2012 shoe presentation, and I instantly felt sexy – though I have to admit I also had an urge to swing from a pole once they were strapped on my feet.
