Kate Spade New York Connie Loafer: Old Man Shoe Turned Chic.
By Shoe Snob Emma
November 3, 2011

I’ll be honest; loafer’s used to make me squirm. I didn’t like the thought of them. It’s what I used to see my uncle wear when he would visit from Conneticut and would tear around upstate NY in his rented tiny convertible with us in the backseat like he was driving in NYC, running away from King Kong. That being said, the Kate Spade Connie loafers may have just changed my way of thinking about the whole look. I used to think I could only wear a loafer type shoe if it was sitting on a 3+ inch heel, but these snazzy guys take a sexy twist on an old classic with a bow accent onto of the shiny patent leather. These come in four amazing colors: black, brown, grey and fire engine red. Personally, I like to go big or go home so I’d pick the red ones and pair them with some Helmut Lang leggings and a Tucker smock blouse for a cute, casual, cheery look to wear for work or a weekend day trip. Kate Spade has taken a sleepy look and made fun out of it, in a good way.

Zappos for $250 or red for $202.99 (sale!)
