Parisian shoe house LaRare has been a mainstay of très chic European girls for years, but they have yet to catch on in the U.S. There are only three boutiques in America to stock their shoes, two of which are in Texas (Gregory’s in Dallas and Katias in Houston – hey, Texas girls know how to shop!). Which might be a blessing – lovely shoes are all the more enjoyable when you won’t see them on every other set of pedicured feet in the room. Helmed by deisnger Nathalie Elharrar, a graduate of the Paris Technical Centre of Shoe and Leather Goods Design (at last, a real trained shoe designer. Imagine that…), the construction of her work is to-die-for.
And so are the designs. Mustard yellow has never looked sexier, as seen on the strappy “Harmony.” Nor have Mary Janes, yet the “Vitalya” is so unfussy and wearable. Modern, utilitarian touches are just what LaRare’s hyper-feminine silhouettes call for. The partial-espadrille “Solange” is South of France-perfect, while the brown-viper “Lydia” is just avant-garde enough to scamper around in anywhere. The real kicker? The “Santal Dream,” a retro satin sandal with an artful explosion of kid-leather origami. Act fast, before these rare heels catch on stateside!

This is a fantastic find! I went to their website and every shoe is nicer than the next! They are some unique plays on color and proportion. Thanks for posting!
