These are more than just “zebra-print pumps” – these are all-out costumes for your feet. Kind of like a little zebra outfit you might put on your infant or Yorkshire terrier on Halloween. Adorable on either of them, but on your high-heeled feet? Not so much. Suffice to say, JC de Castelbajac‘s pony-fur shoes border on comical. It takes a genuine oddball or a real attention-worshiper to wear these. How would you like to look down and have your shoes stare back at you? Awk-ward! I say, chop off the mane, pull off the ears (they even look like they might tickle a bit), razor off the eyes (am I the only one who finds them unsettling?), and you have a chic pair of zebra pony-hair d’orsay pumps. Eek! These are way too literal. And very ugly.
I cannot believe anyone would wear them let alone buy them for $600.00 +….
Well, I wouldn’t wear them, but they’re sort of cute in a cooky kinda way.
I know, right? I think my goddaughter would wear it for Halloween, but she’s 10.
