While I adore the concept of adding color to a plain black platform, the elastic has an unfortunate eighth grade vibe. If the green, yellow, and blue straps – already a young, playful combination – were in suede or leather, the shoe would be much sleeker. And more practical: pulling them on, keeping pose, and striding confidently might be an issue. Big feet will be in pain (and there could be some bulge if the straps don’t have enough give), while little feet will slip out (I can see narrow feet sliding all over the place). I would hate to discover what kinds of unsightly red marks these sandals might mar the feet with after a day of wear! On the flip side, if your feet are just right – this is the Goldilocks of platform sandals – this is a fun, summer shoe. At Bergdorf Goodman for $650 and the Elastic Striped Wedge for $595.
Pair with: A black straw clutch, like the “Maggie” by Elie Tahari, is in keeping the wedge’s relaxed feel, while the grown-up shape and shade elevate your look out of middle school. At ShopBop for $348.

SLOB! To quote Joey on friends. “You’re so far past the line, you can’t even see the line. The line is a dot to you.”
lol!
Good quote.
These are so ugly. As are the Prada oxfords on a rubber wedge. What were they thinking!?!?!
