Pierre Hardy Color-Block Wedge Sandals: Art with Movement
By Shoe Snob Tina

Gray and yellow is fast becoming my new favorite hue combo! First I spotted the fall Tod’s bag, and now these beauties. I’m proclaiming Pierre Hardy’s rendition the best color-blocked wedge I’ve seen all season long (and that’s a lot!). The popping stripe of yellow patent-leather along the back alludes to a sexy stacked heel, but is, of course, far more original. And you get the comfort and security of a wedge. Hardy’s shoes have a sense of movement to them, even when standing still. Perhaps that’s because he studied dance while completing an art degree, and even joined a professional dance company. Influences of art and dance have given Hardy’s shoes a unique aesthetic and dynamic exuberance. At Net-a-Porter for $630.

Pair with: A simple frock that also welcomes movement, like Chloe Sevigny for Opening Ceremony’s “Lissy” Boxy Swing dress, in a mini length – don’t detract from the shoes, please! – with flounce hem. On Shopbop for $500.

Balenciaga had a heel with the same color combo/yellow striped back at Neiman Marcus a few years ago!
