I am torn between the impulse to put these in a frame or on my feet. The 5.5″ inch stiletto (though a generous front platform can take a shoe from brutal to manageable) with artful gold engravings, not to mention the countless, fence-like straps, scream fashion, not function. These cage boots are daring and provocative and would carry you well into summer – that is, if you can carry them! I can’t help but envision all those suggestive slivers of bronzed skin peeking out between rows of straps. Fierce with a rustic edge, they almost make me want to channel my inner jungle goddess. Beautiful, yes, but perhaps more appropriate for editorial than real life? What do you guys think?

offsets the strong architecture of the shoes well. The simplicity and subtle draping, along with the just-right length, keeps it classy and lets your feet enjoy full attention.

Hi Tina,
When I saw these I thought they have to be so uncomfortable. I haven’t tried them on but I think you are correct they are definetly for fashion.
