The Vuitton shoe collection followed a simple formula: thin straps + low platform + bold and sensible heel = 100% camp. If these shoes don’t have rich and Asian written all over them, I’m not quite sure what does. I can already picture it: ladies with their hair in chignons, clad in chinoiserie, drinking tea or sipping Sake. As simple as their basic designs are, the shoes are pretty intricate (or ornate–take your pick): hand-beaded stripes and “tiger-claw”-inspired spindle heels. You know these shoes will cost a fortune. Why? Because they can be. And the Far East will eat it up.
